Cindy Blevins got her Bachelor's Degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX with a Major in Elementary Education, a Minor in Biology, and a Kindergarten Endorsement. She got her Master's Degree from Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth, TX in Reading and E.S.L. She is an all-level certified reading specialist and certified as a librarian.
Cindy began teaching in 1985 and has taught in Ft. Worth, Beaumont, and Garland--all in Texas. She has taught almost all grades/subjects kindergarten through eight grade. Since 2003 she has been serving as an instructional support teacher for Garland, ISD, (a school district in the Dallas, TX area) where she works with middle school and high school reading and English teachers, writes curriculum, and provides staff development.
Cindy has provided staff development and consulting since 1988 in all grade levels and all preschool/elementary subjects, and secondary ELA for a variety of districts and organizations.
Cindy speaks at educational and Christian conferences, retreats, teas, and other meetings for youth, ladies, and singles. Her passion for what she does is evident and contagious.
In addition to writing educational curriculum, Cindy has co-authored a comprehensive discipleship program, called Course for Life for youth and adults with her husband, Ron.
CIndy was born and raised in Kingsland, a resort/retirement area in the Texas Hill Country. Her mother still lives in Kingsland (her father is deceased). She has two brothers who live with their families in Austin, TX, and she resides in Rowlett,TX with her husband Ron.
Cindy loves to cook, quilt, sew, crochet, read, write, and fly airplanes with her husband.
